Open Air and Covered Arenas

Elk Haven has two outdoor arenas with a natural soil based footing that is well liked by riders.  It is regularly conditioned and water as needed.  One of the arenas is approximately 250' by 120'.  The second is approximately 220' by 90'.  Both have watering systems.  We have stadium jumps and a dressage ring available for your use.

Elk Haven is in the final stages of completing a third arena that will be 65' by 200' with the covered area being 65' by 135' covered arena.  The footing will hopefully be laid this summer as well as the railings built.  Also, there are plans for lights and watering systems.  Trees have been planted to eventually give the arena protection from the summer winds while providing excellent views of the mountain ranges.

Cross Country Courses and Trails
Elk Haven has over 40 jumps ranging in heights from Hopeful to Preliminary.  There are many questions that can be posed for horse and rider whether the horse rider is green or experienced.  Each year, Elk Haven strives to add new jumps and obstacles.

There are also many trails for relaxing rides in the beautiful natural surroundings of the woods and farm.  If you wish to train your horse to take challenging obstacles like running water, ditches, wooden bridges, steep hills, etc, those opportunities are also there.
    

Boarding  Elk Haven has eleven outdoor paddocks protected naturally by trees and fenced with wire and electric tape.  Part of these paddocks are used by the owners for their own horses.  Some are available for new boarders.  In the next couple of years (some this spring), ten new run-ins with 1800+ square feet dry-lot and daily turn out to 8000+ square feet of irrigated pasture will be completed.  The run-ins buildings are two12'x12' rubber-matted stalls with an 8'x8' tack room in between.  There will be automated water fountains for the horses, wood-railed fencing around the dry lot, and electric tape fencing for the pastures which will be on automatically timed sprinkler. systems.  

Outdoor and Indoor Stalls

Elk Haven has 40 outdoor stalls and six indoor stalls for our guests that wish to spend more than a few hours with us.  There are also hot wired paddock areas if your horse would like a little more room and has respect for electric fencing.

Camping and Overnight Stays

Elk Haven has a clean, grassy, protected (by trees) natural setting for overnighters whether you come with tent or with a camper.  We do not have hook-ups for motor-homes and campers but do have an ample supply of potable water. Another key feature is the Shanty; a wash facility that has three flushing toilets, three sinks and three showers with hot water.  The Shanty has produced many happy patrons.
